Every chapter of Charlie’s life seems to be out of order when he wrote his biography, a book that is in the process of being edited and once published will give the words directly from the artist himself about his life. Part of what I am providing on this historical website is an opportunity to hear from people who knew Charlie during his life. I find it only fitting to start with Pat Allen’s Story. This lovely lady contacted me when I first had my gallery in Murphys. At that time I was raising my daughter, attempting to juggle 3 jobs and a love life. Her letter must have slipped into the cracks of life, but I was so happy to receive the emails and then a picture to connect her story to. I hope you enjoy what will become an enriched section of this website called “Charlie’s Friends” by the continuing to come back often to see how it is developing.
